Meteorite Collection
History
My name is Emanuel, and I have been a meteorite enthusiast since 2012, when I saw a fireball from my house, since then I have been deepening my knowledge on subjects related to methoritics. In 2013 I purchased my first meteorite, an 87 gram Uruaçu.
Also in 2013, after the Chelyabinsk event, my curiosity about space rocks increased, watching the national news about the spectacular fall of the meteorite over the city of Chelyabinsk, Russia, which left more than 1,500 injured by the explosion resulting from its entry into the atmosphere.

During all these years always following the new falls and very important findings for Science, I was able to make friends with people from different countries, passionate about the same hobby, hunting and meteorite collection.

In 2020, I finally had the opportunity to carry out my first search expedition in a meteorite fall in the city of Santa Filomena-PE, a fall with many fragments found, where at least two houses were hit by meteorites. I was able to meet people I always admired at a distance, such as Elizabeth Zucolotto, curator of Meteorites at the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro, André Moutinho, Michael Farmer and Robert Ward, two of the most renowned and well-known meteorite hunters in the world.
